At Springs Home Improvement, our commitment to excellence is reinforced by the professional certifications and memberships we hold within the remodeling and construction industry. These credentials are more than just titles — they represent our dedication to craftsmanship, ethical business practices, and continuous learning. From our affiliation with the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs and the Colorado Association of Home Builders, to nationally recognized certifications like NARI’s Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler (CKBR) and NKBA’s Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD), each distinction reflects our team’s specialized knowledge and credibility. Whether it’s cabinetry, full-scale remodels, or kitchen and bath transformations, our certified professionals bring industry-best practices to every project, giving homeowners peace of mind and quality they can trust.
Springs Home Improvement earned certification from the Housing & Building Association (HBA) of Colorado Springs by completing the official membership application, submitting verified business credentials, and fulfilling the annual dues requirement. This certification reflects our commitment to professionalism and active participation in Colorado Springs’ trusted building community.
What it means:
By meeting NARI’s strict requirements—including over five years of remodeling experience, completing an in-depth certification course, and passing a comprehensive exam—Springs Home Improvement proudly achieved certification from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. We continue to maintain this distinction through ongoing education and a strong commitment to industry standards.
What it means:
In order to obtain accreditation from the Colorado Association of Home Builders (CAHB), Springs Home Improvement joined the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Colorado Springs. Access to lobbying initiatives, industry events, and professional resources were all made possible by this membership, and they were all very helpful to us in fulfilling the certification requirements.
What it means:
At Springs Home Improvement, we achieved the prestigious CKBD (Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer) designation from the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) by fulfilling the required 7 years of hands-on experience and completing 60 hours of NKBA-endorsed educational courses. We also passed a rigorous two-part exam, demonstrating our proficiency in both design and technical aspects of kitchen and bath design.
What it means:
Springs Home Improvement earned the Certified NARI Professional on Staff certification by having a team member apply for and obtain the NARI Certified Remodeling (CR) credential. To maintain this certification, the staff member continues their education through ongoing NARI-approved training, ensuring they stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
What it means:
Springs Home Improvement now has a Certified ADU Specialist on staff through a third-party accreditation offered by Earth Advantage. A member of our team successfully completed the required training and examination process to earn this credential. To maintain this certification, the staff member continues their education with up-to-date coursework on ADU-related regulations, design, and development processes.
What it means:
By fulfilling NARI’s stringent requirements, Springs Home Improvement proudly earned the Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler (CKBR) certification. With over five years of hands-on remodeling experience and completion of specialized NARI educational programs, our team successfully passed the challenging CKBR exam and is dedicated to continuing our education to remain leaders in kitchen and bath remodeling.

I am on my second or third project with Springs Home Improvement and like my neighbor from now on I will not use anyone else to work on my house except Springs Home Improvement. They give good estimates and their workmanship is second to none!!!Posted on Donald Hatch2025-10-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend the Springs Home Improvement Team. Amber, Scott, Matt x2, Eric, and Nathan were all professional and outperformed our expectations. Although our job was on the smaller side we never felt any less attention was paid. They addressed our issues and concerns promptly and also took the time themselves to point out minor issues that we certainly would have missed. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thanks again!Posted on John Hart2025-07-22Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Springs Home Improvement helped us with a master bathroom and bedroom remodel. We have done several remodeling projects in our home and they were one of the best. Their communication was professional and timely. They made good suggestions and paid attention to the details. Overall, it was very low stress and with beautiful results! We would highly recommend them. Thank you to the whole team.Posted on Jess McKenney2025-04-22Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Springs Home Improvement has been truly outstanding. They are extremely professional and very personable.Posted on Mary Ann Warshawsky2025-04-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have recently completed our third project with Chuck Farrington and his band of craftsmen and women at Springs Home Improvement. Previous projects were a half bath, and a full basement remodel including new plumbing. Our newest project was a full kitchen makeover. There is a reason we've had SHI back for the third time - excellence. From Chuck's over-all administration, through his design team, to his on-site craftsmen and amazing project oversight (Scott), to his subcontractors.....excellence. Snags...yes. Unforeseen complications...yes. Remodel setbacks...yes. All handled with care and competence by his talented team. To a person, we felt that each craftsperson went over and above to make our project successful. We've grown fond of his veteran team members (Amber, Matt, and Rich), and we love our new kitchen! It's easy to recommend, without reservation, SHI to the prospective customer, which we do. Since they've upgraded all of our original living spaces needing it we may not need their services again, soon...unless, of course, we tackle an ADU in our large back yard. 😉Posted on Ron2025-02-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently hired Springs Home Improvement to do our master bathroom remodel. We could not be happier with the whole project and the end product. Lexi, Amber and Scott were able to design a beautiful and functional new space that met all of our objectives and within our budget. The project went really smoothly and we had a great experience with their whole team and all of the subs. Matt J, Matt F, Rich, Erik and Scott were great to work with and went above and beyond when needed. Matt Fell even helped me look for one of my dogs who had gotten loose in the neighborhood one day. Our new bathroom has exceeded our expectations! We would definitely hire Springs Home Improvement again for another remodel project!!Posted on Paula Amsden2025-01-26Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our project was a bath renovation and addition of a shower in the basement utility room with a mash up of plumbing, dated flooring and a half bath tucked under the stairs. It was not a small undertaking requiring reworking the main sewer line in the floor and other challenges. After several widely differing bids based on our detailed wish list and no detailed floor plan or visualization of the finished project, we opted to go with a design/build company. The cost was in divided into 2 parts. The cost of the design and floor plan and subsequent to that if we decided to have SHI do the construction based on their bid, the design cost would be deducted from the overall cost. The design completely changed the layout and for the better. All subs visited the project and offered recommendations. What emerged was the most efficient use of space available and CAD generated views of the finished project. We bought the whole package. And never looked back. There will always be bumps in any renovation but these were handled collaboratively and efficiently. The crew from Lexi in design, Matt and Scott in production management, and all the subcontractors were simply the best. They became family, which is kinda important when you embark on a project of this scope. The now finished project is everything we hoped it would be. If you are contemplating a remodel you cannot make a better choice.Posted on Bud Baker2025-01-25
