From Our Family to Yours

Springs Home Improvement started in 2010 as CFar Enterprises, founded by Chuck and Debbie Farrington, as a part-time endeavor. However, as passion and demand for the business grew, Springs Home Improvement transformed into a full-time, thriving company focused on larger home remodeling projects, from bathrooms to kitchens.

Springs Home Improvement works with a wide range of homeowners — some know exactly what they want, others look for guidance to fix their pain points. Chuck Farrington

Managing Director

Hometown: Gorham, ME

Chuck’s upbringing on a farm nurtured him in becoming a creative problem solver as well as years of experience in starting and running service-related businesses. Chuck is a certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler. Chuck’s dad was practical and loved working with his hands — if there was a problem, he would always find a way to fix it. These are the values that Chuck abides by today when working with each of his clients. Finding creative solutions to each homeowner’s pain points and helping them achieve their dream home is why he does what he does. He has a strong love and commitment to his family and could not be prouder of his two daughters, son-in-law, and two grandchildren — with hopefully more on the way!

Scott Walchli

Construction Director

Hometown: Enon, OH

Scott served our country in the Air Force for 23 years and has a master’s degree in Engineering. He is a small business owner with 10 years of experience as a superintendent in the remodeling industry. His copious construction skills include everything from project management to swinging a hammer on a construction site. He is skilled and versed in all aspects of remodeling as a NARI-certified professional. His hobbies include weekends away to his cabin for relaxation, as well as fishing, hunting, and skiing. He does travel often, with most recent trips being to Panama and Alaska.

Matt Heinmets

Sales & Estimating

Hometown: Colorado Springs, CO

Matt is one of the newer members of SHI but he’s certainly not new to the construction world. He owned his own carpentry company for four years and has worked for other construction companies and trades. In addition to his construction background, Matt also worked as a fireman for the City of Fountain Fire Department. Within that role he had the unique opportunity to both help with structure protection during the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest fires, as well as being a part of the rebuilding process. He is a deep-rooted member of the Colorado Springs community and is always looking to serve. Matt enjoys sports, building furniture, cooking, and spending time with his two beautiful daughters. He is a wonderful and welcome addition to the team.

Jason Janney

Project Manager

Hometown: Portland, OR

Jason relocated to Colorado Springs in 2021 from Portland, Oregon, bringing more than 15 years of experience in residential remodeling and union construction. His expertise spans framing, roofing, building envelope systems, and exterior finishes, giving him a well-rounded and detail-oriented approach to every project.

Before transitioning fully into construction, Jason built a successful career as a professional pitmaster, owning and operating a catering company — an experience that sharpened his work ethic, creativity, and commitment to quality. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, which complements his hands-on expertise with strong organizational and management skills.

Outside of work, Jason is an avid runner and enjoys staying active. He lives in Fountain, Colorado with his wife.

Phil Blundo

Office Manager

Hometown: Brea, CA

Experienced office professional, field foreman and construction manager. 15+ years of office experience as a purchasing manager, office administrator and customer service expert in Southern California. After moving to Colorado, transitioned to construction management in 2014 and gained experience crafting new build residences across the Colorado front range. Taking homes from dirt to turnkey and creating a place for families to realize their own dreams.

Moved to Colorado in 2008 after getting married in hopes of buying a small plot of land and starting a family. Now with 3 kids, 2 rambunctious boys and a beautiful little girl. I love to spend time outdoors at home on 3 acre property, gardening and playing with the kids and dogs. Full time coach to the boys, coaching both of their baseball teams every spring and summer. When sports schedules permit, I like to spend time fishing, hiking and camping. Hopes to expand on interest in prospecting for gems and precious metals in this geologically diverse state.

Nathan Morrison

Carpenter

Hometown: Florida

Nathan moved to Colorado from Florida in 2016, bringing with him a strong foundation in home repair and exterior remodeling. Over the years, he expanded his expertise into kitchen and bathroom renovations, with specialized skills in tile work and drywall.

Since joining the team, Nathan has continued to grow his craftsmanship, broadening his experience to include full-home remodels and comprehensive renovation projects.

Courtney Dershem

Junior Interior Designer

Hometown: Texas

Courtney brings a passion for transforming houses into beautiful, personalized homes. Originally from Texas, Courtney moved to Colorado in 2016 and has always been inspired by the process of bringing living spaces to life. Pursuing that passion, she began interior design school in 2022 and earned her degree in 2025.

Shortly after graduating, Courtney joined Springs Home Improvement as a Junior Interior Designer, where she helps clients create spaces they truly love. With a strong eye for design and a genuine appreciation for the impact a well-designed home can have, Courtney is dedicated to making each project both functional and inspiring.
